Event Information: Introduction to Kayaking May 22, 2010 Learn to kayak! Paddling can be relaxing, rejuvenating, and exhilarating. It's also a great way to get outside in the hot Houston summers and to enjoy the fantastic lakes in Bridgeland and in the area. Proper instruction is essential for getting the most out of kayaking and in this class you will learn the proper technique to enjoy the sport for a lifetime.
Come join us for "Introduction to Kayaking” on May 22 (at 9:00 am). We will meet at Oak Meadow Park and after a discussion about equipment and safety we will get on the water and will spend most of the day learning the strokes. All equipment is provided or you can bring your own, any type of kayak will work. You will be required to wear a lifejacket (will be provided or bring your own). All you need is a swimsuit, sandals or water shoes, sun protection, a lunch, and a willingness to have fun (and get wet). The class will be taught by ACA Certified Instructor Bruce Litton, who has 19 years of experience as a boater and 8 years as an instructor. Class size is limited so sign up now. We look forward to seeing you there!
